Fire and Ice.

Your smile is like sunshine

Painting my body

With a fresh coat

Of warmth.

Kissing my body

With its warm glow.

The feeling

Of wearing socks

On a particularly

Cold day.

*

But your words, are icicles

Wrapping me

With ice

Melting the warm glow

Left behind by

Your fake sunshine smile.

I’m frozen

And no sock

Is warm enough

To keep the chills away.

      1. My dear friend, I meant I do not like the ‘subject’ biology. But that doesn’t mean I can’t use words like ‘veins’ in my poems, does it? 😛
Anyway, you have your opinions, I have mine. 😛
