We.

We cut open the minutes

And pour poetry inside them

Trying to immortalize the seconds.

We hear a thousand stories

In the silence

Between the moonbeams.

We see a million colours

In the darkness that resides

In the spaces between two stars.

We listen to the poetry

Of the earth,

And when madness rides on moonlight,

We give the poetry we have

Back to the universe.

Sometimes, we are

The poetry of the earth.

We talk to rainbows,

And our words weeps

With unchained melodies.

We hide beneath

The lonely layers of the night

Because, in the darkness

Our fire glows.

We are made of

Run-down buildings and ancient ruins;

Dilapidated houses, and forgotten cities.

We are infinity

Trapped inside a body.

They said we could be something.

So we became the poets

Who never were.

We reside somewhere

Over the rainbow

Watching you take your girl

On a moonlight drive.

Tell the world

The poets are coming.

  1. Beautiful imagery, talking about poetry. I love the last line “the poets are coming,” it has an ominous sound to it, but he imagery before reminds how good this is. That they can explain the mundane beautifully, through nature, through their words. Lovely.

  3. I think I fell in love with you :’) ❤
This is the best I have ever read. I don't know why but I cannot get it out of my head.
    The lines
    " Tell the world
    The poets are coming." and
    "We are infinity
    Trapped inside a body.
They said we could be something.
So we became the poets" :')
Maybe you could publish a book someday and I hope I can buy it. :')
