How the world helped me heal-I

The sun

sinks its hands

into my flesh,

and

creates a sky

out of

the sadness

inside.

The half moon

nestled

behind my ear,

whispers

poetry

in my ears,

and

I swallow it down.

My mouth

stinks

of love.

I hear

crumbling houses

collapse

beneath my ribs.

My heart

smells like

hurricanes

and seawater.

I draw a map

of all the flowers

blooming

out of the wreckage

inside my bones.

Periwinkle

against carnelian.

Now,

my heart

rains

liquid gold,

while I eat

slices

of moonlight

for dessert.

The sun

is growing

in my bones.

Hello! How have you all been? ^.^ This is one of my absolute favourites. So, I thought I’d start the new year with this. 😀 Also, all the people who share my posts on facebook, could you tell me who you are, so I could thank you personally?
