To the girl who made threatened me to start this blog. No, I won’t name my future daughter after you. *eyeroll* This is all you get.
I write poetry
Because I can see
Your lips, swallowing
Your sadness temporarily
And curving into a smile.
*
I write poetry
Because I can hear
The wind whispering secrets
In your ears
As we dance
In the moonlight.
*
I write poetry
Because I can see
The galaxies
In your eyes
And the love
Dancing through your body.
*
I write poetry
Because I can feel
The love poems
On the tip of your tongue
When your lips graze mine.
*
I write poetry
Because every inch
Of your skin
Is a masterpiece
And you, are
A beautiful poem
Just waiting to be written.

If the quote is the hypothesis for an experiment then your poem is the supporting evidence proving its validity. You are spot on, Rupali. How lucky we are to be able to read your fine work 🙂
